The psychometric properties of a new, brief measure, the Revised Children’s Manifest Anxiety Scale–Second Edition (RCMAS-2) Short Form, were examined in a sample of 1,003 U.S. elementary and secondary students. The RCMAS-2 Short Form consists of the first 10 items of the RCMAS-2.RCMAS-2 scores often lead to the discovery of more basic problems. The scale is useful in evaluating children for academic stress, test anxiety, peer and family conflicts and drug problems.
