If you are limited to.380, maybe so. IMO the true replacement for the PPK is the Sig Sauer P365 - a 10 shot 9x19 in a smaller package than a 7-8 shot .380/.32. Staying with Glock, I would opt for the 43/43x. If you can handle the fatter grip, the 26 isn’t far off either.

That means the difference between the SIG P365-380 and the G42 appears to be 1.94 ounces. The difference between the 9mm P365 and the G42 is 4.04 ounces. It's heavier, but to say the P365-380 is "heavy" is funny, IMO. ETA: The weight of the P365-380 with an empty magazine is 15.7 ounces (445 grams). The weight of a Glock 42 with an empty magazine is 13.76 ounces (390 grams; Glock's website has a typo listing it as 1 2 .76 ounces / 390 grams). That's a 1.94 ounce (55 gram) difference.P365. I'm not as worried about .380 vs 9mm, have and carry both, but the Glock 42 I had wasn't as reliable as the P365, which is pretty much perfect. My Glock 42 had plenty enough issues for me to get something else. Additionally is just an awkward gun, far bigger than an LCP but same capacity and only a bit more shootable.Dimensionally speaking, the Sig measures 31/32″ at the mag well. Where the Glock measures 7/8″ in the same location. That tiny of a difference is what the Sig engineers exploited to fit a steel double stack magazine in the polymer grip. Resulting in a similarly sized pistol carrying 4 additional rounds of 9mm than the Glock 43.
