Did 13 reps of one round using the flush mag, had 3 FTLB. Did 5 reps of 2 rounds and had 3 FTLB. Did 3 reps of 10 rounds and slide failed to lock back all 3 times. Jan 1, 2020 · When you are dry firing, you have to rack the slide every time to cock the striker. If you want to feel the reset while dry firing, Dry fire after racking the slide. After you have pulled the trigger, do not release it. Rack the slide again. Slowly let the trigger out. Eventually you will feel and hear a “click”.

Most often it is the striker hanging on the sear. Try not just swinging the take down lever but actually putting pressure on it past the 7 o'clock and holding that while you pull the slide forward and off.
